An advice to self-

Art by keenea

Dear me…

Remain strong,
Though not forgetting your gentleness.
Neglect people’s misconception of your soft-heartedness
It’s not weakness to be who you are…

Never be scared of being vulnerable
It’s human nature to abuse you nonetheless
Let your beliefs be outwardly apparent;
Very impressive will be…you retaining your dignity also…

With her, be tender…
Loving and affectionate,
Exude qualities of Truth
Become her fantasy in real life
Let her crush on you, again and over eternally…
Open her to her innermost worth
Show her she’s loved like no other…

You are “A Man”
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom
Allow His Spirit tutor you
Grow constantly…gradually in Him
Seek counsel in His Majistic nature
And you will become “The Man”

Be reflective
Think before you act
“I am in no way qualified to advice you”
But the greatest gift you can give yourself
Is YOU!!!

Be true to who you are…
“I love you like my Twiny loves me
Take good care of yourself…

With love

Catching Hearts- The Movie Review

When deciding to watch a movie, what usually comes to mind? Would the movie entertain you? Would it be a blessing to you? or even entertain while blessing your life? Well, here comes a movie that sure promises to do both… CATCHING HEARTS… A movie written and directed by F.C. RABBATH.

“Unless denial; everybody that knows, knows there is a God.”-Olabode Oluwatosin

Centuries have come and gone and the world is still perplexed as to whether or not there is a God. It is without doubt that everyone, science inclusive, believes; there is a greater being responsible for the “ultimate reach”; that stage were man’s wisdom comes to a close. However, the Christian God spoken off from the bible, has given man “since time and to come” questions as to whether or not He created the world.

Where’s prove that God exist? What if you are wrong? Why did this happen if there is a God? Should you talk about God; to whom? When? And the likes-

The role to this part is played by an atheist character; Mark Gravin (Mark A. Marple), who starts the movie with a book titled “We Don’t Need God” and towards the end of the movie, is writing a book titled, “We Need God”.

Another attraction to this movie is, the role played by Jenny (Jada Sanders), a lady in love but whose relationship lacks mutual understanding and respect, and even greater, is the fact that a child under her watch gets missing, hmmm…

We see in this movie also, a Christian father trying to bond with his alcoholic son Dean (Michael Varde), who seems to have given up on life.

An amazing fact about this movie is how all these stories are joined together to produce a single undiluted message of truth.

Catching hearts is a movie that draws our minds back to an all important question, does God exist? It shows a teenage character that thinks he is living life yet doesn’t  know what life is- It teaches conviction, but more importantly, what should or is usually done when convicted. It’s no doubt, things (representing environmental, social status etc.) never remain the same after you turn a new leave, but this movie as scripture affirms it, shows its always worth it. All through this movie, you will see things that seemingly look like coincidence, but at the end of it all, you realize it was always God’s timing and always accurate…

“Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.”-Albert Einstein

This movie cuts across life, friendship, family and the society at large, and it uses inspiration from God to teach wisdom. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom… -proverbs 9:10 (Kjv).” This movie references God, thus the wisdom it portrays. I really recommend this movie to all; the theme songs are also amazing.

A Review by: Olabode Oluwatosin

If as a gentleman you are in a relationship with a lady that dresses half naked (exposes her body, in other words, dresses indecently) and you have not spoken to her, even though she shows everyone what you are meant to later see all alone in your marriage, then you do not love but only lust after her to an extent; the other part is that you are suffering from low self-esteem. The standard to which she meets with you and your friends is her nudity. She does not look presentable if she’s well dressed (or you would have told her) to your friends, or else, why haven’t you told her? Remember everyone presents the best of what he has when it comes to showing people… This will be understood by only those with a foundation.

Isn’t it funny how you can almost come to church early just so you can almost seat in front…

Have you understood the bible so much that it’s only your understanding that is correct, even the leading of the Holy Spirit, the appropriate prescription to understanding the bible is wrong? Who do you think you are, a fool? “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1st Corinthians 2:14”…no wonder you read the bible and still say there is no God.

Speaking biochemistry terms to a computer science student makes no sense unless someone or something in biochemistry explains it to him, likewise God; His ways are not our ways, to understand Him you don’t ask man because he would not know, he can only try, only the Holy Spirit can tell you the ways of God, as He is God, so when an honest man tries, it’s through the leading of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, in other for the bible to make sense to you, ask the Holy Spirit not your brain…

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,  that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

                                                                                       2nd Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

                                                                                        John 14:26 NKJV

The above quotations are on the basis of the Christian faith. We are God’s creation and the manual to understanding our essence and every thing in existence is the bible which has a prescription to reading it.
