Have Some Faith-

image

The “F” in Faith stands for “the Future”. Faith is not the actions of the Past or the words of the Present, Faith is the substance of the Future-
Faith is your ability unlike Thomas to believe while you have not seen. Faith is Noah preparing an ark for something God called rain. Faith is blind bartimaeus dropping his support and not allowing anyone to lead him as though he already had his sight while trying to meet Jesus for his sight. Faith is that Centurion telling Jesus he is as effective from where He is on the street as He would be in his unworthy home for Jesus to heal his servant boy.
Faith is the Solution, not the hopes of the possibilities of the effectiveness of the solution put into consideration.  Faith is Obedience- “follow me and I will make you fishers of men”…2000 years later; and more fishers of men are birthed daily.  Faith is Abraham leaving his home to an unknown land. Faith is Nonetheless the results, “I will still hold on to Jesus”- Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego going into the fire even if the father will forsake them (God will never leave nor forsake you).
It is not Faith if it is the usual, it is not Faith if you fully comprehend it (what’s the faith in it?). Faith is a believe- a believe in something to come and not something already in your reach. Faith is exhibited before and during the process, not after; thanksgiving is what you show before, during and after the process.
Faith is not what you Think God Can Do- it is not even what you Know He Will Do, Faith is what you Know God HAS Done- Faith is a commodity everyone uses every second of the day. Faith in the Negative Context is called Doubt; the believe that it will not happen, while the believe of it occurring is Faith in itself- the thought we should all have in mind- a Positive Context.

The “F” in Faith represensts the Future-
How do you intend to live yours?
In the Positive Context or in the continuity of doubt?
HAVE SOME FAITH- be it in a mustard seed form or watermelon like!!!

Freedom from Negativity

This is my last post for the year, and it is quite a read. I pray you God’s grace in reading it till the very end, Amen.

freedom-depression-640-360

This month signifies the birth of Christ, the basic reason He came is to set us free from ALL (as in this case my depression, and likewise you, your ——–, amongst others). The birth of Christ is PERSONAL, His essence is personal for everyone and so, amidst all the Partying, Celebrations, Religion and etc. MAKE SURE HIS BIRTH HAS BEEN ENCOUNTERED BY A SITUATION IN YOUR LIFE…

We have done enough celebrations in light of the public holiday given on Christmas day- the birth of Christ has become so lose in some hearts, that it is been equated with democracy day or world health day; just another public holiday-

The birth of Christ is the solution to your life situations, He came to exchange His life for our own, understanding this truth and testifying to the goodness of His coming is the greatest celebration you can give-

Just as people sew new cloths for Christmas, I have likewise sewed a new WORD for my Christmas. This piece is dedicated to the broken hearted, those who are (or have ever) been depressed, to those hurting, those that thought all hope was lost, to the helpless, and most importantly, to whoever gets to read this-

Dear God,
This message came in writing, in such a time as this, I pray it speaks to the hearts you “came, died and resurrected for, I pray your healing power and essence be accomplished in us in Jesus name, Amen.

-Freedom from Silence-

Dear silence,
Ssshhh!!!
Please keep quiet;
Without a word,
I hear you too loud… too clear…

You are a comforter when I’m depressed,
A shelter whenever I’m lost,
A home for my self-pity,
My breath in low self esteem-

Yet I’m still here
Dying on the inside
For some reasons to be made known,
annulling the thought of suicide; again.

Ssshhh!!!
I tell self,
Deceiving myself with this lie,
“No one will understand you,
but if you must, tell it to yourself
no one else will understand you.”

And so, for too long
I wallowed in loneliness,
Though I was surrounded by people
I was very much always alone.

I was eclectic with my decisions,
I felt I couldn’t have been wrong;
I was in so much pain, it made
Childbirth’s pain, look as painless as
bathing a child and so I thought,
“This has to be my best option
Being silent meant I was on the right track.”

I couldn’t tell anyone,
Not my lover
Not even the Lover of my soul,
I became isolated,
An embodiment of sadness…

I learnt how to fake a smile,
I learnt how to be defensive,
I learnt how to read people;
thus picking meaning from almost anything-

It wasn’t always like this though,
I once tried to talk,
But I was induced with more problems,
Rather than a simple hand of solution

I wanted a friend,
But I got someone that grew distant.
I wanted a brother,
But I got someone that didn’t bother.
I wanted a listener,
But I got someone that was just hearing.
I wanted you
But all I got was someone that didn’t care enough.

With this much pain,
I found me a sedative,
I found succor in SILENCE
Keeping the pain to myself;
seemed to be the best option,
at least no one will induced more hurt…

Ssshhh!!!
…Silence…
I hear you too loud… too clear…
For too long-

But, things are different now,
They are getting better,
I see a light in my tunnel,
Someone reminded me of JESUS,
The one who allows me cast my care upon him,
The one who isn’t judgmental
as he is careful in caring for me,
The one who gives rest to the heavy laden,
The one who gives peace to the soul,
The one with understanding,
The one who LISTENS,
The only one who heals no matter how deep…

My trust-
Its been abused once to many
Honestly, it has made me pessimistic,
Nonetheless… I felt I should give him a try,
And so I opened up to him
I told him about the weight I had been lifting
My tears fell right on his shoulder…
It became crystal clear,
He is the light in my tunnel.
Do not misread the next couple of lines;
I’m still in the walking process making progress-

I feel lifted
I am calmer
I feel joy
I know I have someone that will listen;
a friend always closer than a brother
I’m lighter
I know I have someone that understands

“You need to speak up
Silence spreads within you like cancer,
And kills faster than a bullet to the heart-
It’s when people HEAR you,
that you become more depressed.
Find someone that will LISTEN:
Family, counselor, mentor,
Boyfriend, Girlfriend, neighbor,
Whoever… but don’t be desperate as to anyone,
Make sure it’s someone that will listen,
Someone with the active heart of God-

Don’t keep silent
You need to speak up”

Silence; be quiet!!!
I want to speak-
Christ in me, is as well as in others
I’ve found someone I can talk to,
Someone in whom I find God’s PEACE
(D title ascribed to d heart that listens)
I pray you find yours too…

This is a story of someone recovering from depression through the walking grace of God. I am not here to debate whether or not God’s influence is involved. His birth is the reason for salvation; His coming is a reminder that we are more than able to overcome the negativities of this world. I pray just as I have tapped into this anointing, you too will-

Scriptural references (1 peter 5:7, Matthew 11:28-30, John 14:27, Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalm 147:3 )

Aggressive Truth

image

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”.
                                                                                                             Isaiah 40:31

Waiting does not mean staying in one place, from the above scripture, waiting is an action word. The bible verse says, they “shall renew their strength”… waiting does not get you tired if you take it as a noun, but because it is a verb, after the act, your strength must be renewed. Renewed in this context is not just to refresh one’s strength, but an exchange of a person’s strength; as in this case, the Lord’s strength for the individual waiting upon Him. If ever, one is to have his strength renewed, then he must wait upon the Lord and nothing else; “but they…” implies that this principle will only be applicable to those within this context. To rely on God allows you infinite access to His strength.

In waiting, you show that you’ve at least enough trust in whom you are waiting on, as the very act of waiting shows you are expectant and have a significant amount trust that you will not be disappointed. Waiting entails hoping on, looking up too, expecting… In waiting on the Lord, your strength is changed into His and the spirit of endurance is granted unto you. Because waiting on the Lord isn’t passive; your soul, your mind, your body and in general, your entire being must be put into perspective.

Waiting on the Lord means you are actively involved in the understanding of his Word, which allows him to bless you, as stated in Psalm 37:34.

Waiting on the Lord means you are productive in thinking, which allows Him to teach you His truth, as seen in Psalm 25:5.

Waiting on the Lord means you have accepted a single truth and you’re ready to stand firm in it. This allows answers to your prayers; the process of waiting on the Lord allows you to exercise your godly attributes and qualities. Waiting on the Lord for whatsoever might be your case, means you do not lose faith (as that is when it is acted on the most). It also implies that you exercise the spiritual truth written in scripture as regards that situation and he will never disappoint you nor allow you grow weary or faint.

We live in a generation that wants everything now; instant pleasure, instant gratification and immediate significance. Today’s study scripture is a very powerful one as it goes against human believes and the world’s system. It is a tough concept and that is why the benefits there after fall only on those that wait upon the Lord. If you will be obedient to this truth; you “shall mount up with wings as eagles”; reaching high heights without losing site and soaring to the greatness of God Himself (Ephesians 2:6), “you shall run, and not be weary”; looking up to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith, in whom you can join at the right hand of God (Hebrews 12:1-2), “and you shall walk, and not faint”; because you’ve received Christ and you are in a good place for an eternal walk (Colossians 2:6).

Are you waiting on the Lord for something? Then you must quit worrying and start living in the truth of God’s words as regards that situation because waiting on Lord is never passive.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”.
