Start your day knowing YOU ARE NOT AN ACCIDENT…
Start your day knowing YOU ARE NOT AN ACCIDENT…
Christianity is not a religion of hate and bitterness. It does not prey on the weak and ‘the so called sinners’.
Salvation cannot be gotten outside Jesus- The world has rejected Jesus and so cannot find salvation except in the Church- it is important to note that we are the church.
Any time we reject a ‘sinner’ from coming to church, we are saying they should go the world and be saved and then come back to Jesus- there is no biblical backing to this school of thought; for only Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus is salvation.
If a ‘sinner’ gets a platform to come to your church and stays long enough and there is still no conviction, then that church might be compromised.
When Jesus touches you, you can never remain the same. The church should never for fear or favour teach people what the ‘want to hear’ instead of what they ‘ought to hear’. By the way- who told you the church can’t grow a people whose ears are open to what the want to hear as what they ought to hear.
The church is a reflection of Jesus- Jesus is love; therefore the church is love.
God bless you as you walk in Love.
We are called into this world
to become, ‘Somebody’, not ‘Somebody Else’
If the world wanted ‘Somebody else’,
don’t you think they’ll exist too?
Oh yes! They already do- but wait….
No one said anything about them existing
in ‘Original’ and ‘Counterfeit’ copies!
Do yourself a favour
Live your life as you
Stop living as someone else’s copy.
God bless you.
Psalms 51- A prayer for forgiveness. Everyone can be forgiven.
It is believed that Psalms 51 was written when Nathan the prophet came unto king David, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba- committing adultery and subsequently murder. 1 Kings 15:5, 2 Samuel 11:1-22. Surely it wasn’t for lack of poetic flow that the psalmist didn’t specifically list the sins for which he was guilty, but decided to present the entire Chapter in a general context– Let’s study 5b to get an understanding–
Psalms 51:5 (kjv) says, ‘… and in sin did my mother conceive me’. (John 3:6, Ephesians 2:3, Romans 5:12)
Did you notice how the psalmist did not say we were conceived in a specific type of sin?
Everyone is born a sinner; Nobody is born sinning!
The sins we commit as we grow older are a result of the opportunities that present themselves (temptations) to us. The type of sins we succumb to depends on such facts as: the environment we find ourselves, peer pressure, self gratification, etcetera…. The bottom line is, no one is given birth to and ascribed a certain type of sin- just as no one is born a Christian. The sins we commit are the byproducts of the decisions we make daily and in time become.
The essence of this message is to establish that both the strange sins (those we wouldn’t commit because of our strengths) and the common sins (those we excuse because of our weaknesses) are all choices we make daily. The same way we picked lying and cheating as a sin, is the same way they picked stealing and homosexuality- neither of us was born with it.
To this effect; just because you didn’t pick pyrography doesn’t mean you should judge and condemn those who fall short of the glory of God via porn ( the hypocrisy is that, nonetheless, you watch the so called normal movies that contain alot of sexual scenes in it). While this is not to excuse any form of sin, the point is, the more we judge and condemn people, the more we are judged and condemned.
It is easy to hate on a murderer because you don’t kill people, but isn’t it funny that you find compassion in your heart for the rapist because that’s what you did three days ago? The bible says, remove the log in your eyes before trying to remove anything in anybody else… Notice how Jesus in all his glory never came to condemn the world (John 3:17)! Rather that through him, the world might be saved- He corrected and rebuked when necessary.
Dear Christians (those saved by grace),
I write this under the authority of all humility and respect- if we all judged less and corrected more, the world would be a better place. We are created in the Image and Likeness of God- lets not do what he wouldn’t do and what he hasn’t asked us to do…
We were all shapened in iniquity and we are all saved by grace- Christ loved us through the process– In love, correct and put right everything that needs correction and guidance.
2 Timothy 4:2 (AMP)
Preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching.
Christ loved us while we were yet sinners- Romans 5:8. Everybody should be allowed to have the chance for salvation, just like you got yours. This message does not support any form of sin; rather it stands as a guide to establish that salvation is not by works lest any man should boast- Ephesians2:9
The Truth Hurts… NOTWITHSTANDING-
Did you Know, hidden somewhere in the word TRUTH, is the word HURT?
This is to say, you cannot separate ‘hurt’ from ‘truth’.
Every truth hurts the enemy- the enemy of the situation, This is because, we are in the world but not of it.
According to John 14:6, ‘Jesus is… the Truth…’ and this truth hurts the devil like hell.
Never allow anyone hold back your truth- or else in so doing, you are withholding Jesus from the situation and depriving the devil of hell.
Knowing that no one can withhold Jesus and judgment has been placed on the devil; so no one can deprive him of hell.
I submit with this conclusion-
Save the Stress and Speak the TRUTH… ALWAYS!
This is not to discredit the celebration of love, rather, my intension is to see love celebrated the right way!
Why build me a house
If you won’t be in my home?
Why pay the children’s fees
If you won’t be part of their eduction?
I guess half bread is better than none…
…but why then pretend in the disguise
Of this world’s deceit to have your bread full?
FROM YOUR VALENTINE…
as we popularly end our ‘say’
Valentine is a name of a Person.
They called him Saint Valentine
Last I checked- that’s not you!
Take advantage of the valentine
But love has no special day
Love is special EVERYDAY.
I didn’t treat you special yesterday
Because nobody was watching
It wasn’t the 14th
So there wasn’t any tradition to enrol in
So today I spend my money buying you things:
Cookies, roses…other perishables all made the list
But never think to invest in the nasty attitudes
You would wake to see tomorrow.
And so on this special day like I did last year
I tell you I love you
Even in the voice of Valentine
Only to remember its meaning exactly a year from today
We were never soul-mates
Nor did you believe in fairly tales
Yet you ‘valentine’ me with the thoughts
Of what love could be- year in, year out.
Without ever experiencing your heart.
Valentine is not a time for new love
To avoid being lonely,
It’s rather a time to rekindle old sparks
To brighten a better ‘togetherness’
Not just a flare of romance
It’s not just from valentine
Yes- his legacy lives on…
It’s from YOU
but do you worth the value
The esssence…. the Significance?
To be called in valentine’s theme-
Happy Valentine- from a willing heart of love- that not based on this world, but birthed in truth and for the purpose of a better Us- as it begins with me!!!
